Fluidmesh upgrades to 2200 Duo

Wireless mesh network - Boston, MA-based Fluidmesh Networks, a wireless video surveillance applications specialist, has introduced the Fluidmesh 2200 Duo, an upgraded version of its 2200 series, which it now replaces. According to the company, the 2200 Duo features a main processor that is three times faster, with double the available bandwidth, making possible the use of mega-pixel cameras and low compression video streams. The 2200 Duo also includes support for 128-bit AES encryption at the link-level, which meets the requirement of FIPS-197 compliance.

Degaussing
- Sunnyvale, CA-based Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., has introduced its Mag EraSURE ME-P3 Version 2, its latest degaussing solution for the permanent erasure of all magnetically-recorded data on hard disk drives and other storage devices. According to the company, Mag EraSURE ME-P3 Version 2 completely erases sensitive data embedded several layers down that might not have been deleted using conventional methods, on hard disk drives, tapes and other magnetically recorded media, in just 15 seconds -- a speed three times faster than earlier models. It also includes support for the VHS tape format.

DVR
- Louisville, KY-based Honeywell Security, a division of Honeywell International, has debuted the HRDP, a new digital video recorder (DVR) addition to its existing Performance Series product line, which includes IR mini-dome and bullet cameras. According to the company, the Performance Series line of cameras and the newly-released HRDP DVR include a variety of cost-effective options that let users choose a surveillance solution for any application. The HRDP is available in four, eight or 16 channels.
